GTS HEAD NEEDED

This isn't going to be good.
Heinrich, can't you just use a 3r head and be good to go?

I'll send you some pics of the R2 heads from the 89 TBF car I have. They are still on the engine, but I am planning to sell them. Obviously, they would need to be cleaned up and maybe new lifters installed. Don't know anything about fitment of R2's on a GTS.

H - There is some sort of cooling path change on the sealing surface of the GTS heads.

Well, I have an R5 head from Mr. Morton ... now we just need to get all this work done. Looks like very likely:
1) the heads were re-surfaced, and I recall when the installer installed them there were aluminium shavings on the heads -- I saw them on the outside of the prots once the heads were already installed. The installer said this was normal.
2) apparently the common thing is, the oiling passages are not properly cleaned-out after a resurface, blocking them, leading to oil starvation at lifters etc.
3) we'll know by tonight, but this looks like the scenario.
