So I was just scrolling through the posts on this thread. Karen was looking over my shoulder. Asks me why I'm not going... If I leave LA in the morning tomorrow, I could probably make it to western Colorado or so by bedtime...
Conference call on a project in the morning tomorrow, another on a different contract later in the day, someone might actually want me to do something for the money, etc. A monster's work is never done.
Car is running perfect. Ran an errand this afternoon in 95º ambient and had to push the center vents over to get rid of the freezing draft on my fingers, even with the temp slider set at 70º. The car -really- wants to go play with her friends in Kansas... She got a glimpse of golf clubs and car wax, and her hormones surged for a road trip.

Would love to go but it would a 6-day deal, there and back. Can't even count all the things that have to be done/covered in the next 6 days. Someday!!!

I can't leave DFW until noon on Friday.... won't be in a 928 as far as I konw but if you can fly into DFW Dr Bob (Rob Edwards too), and you can make it by noon on Friday, I will make it a personal mission in life to pick you up, and get you to the OCIC. Make that a fact.

Even though you are the Dr., you can't just tease us like that Bob. You have to go now... C'mon, I'm going at the last minute... you know you want to, everybodys doin' it! (well except Rob now of course, but he just gave a good excuse...).

My meetings list is full, in the middle of what may be my last project contract negotiation, etc. I appreciate all the enthusiasm and wishes from the group, but it just isn't happening this time.

ATB and I are in SLC right now. Plan to hit up some of the Porsche Parade Stuff and maybe a visit to Motorsport SLC (Garrity and Dave L) tomorrow. Then its off to Denver to meet the folks gathering at that truckstop off I70 Thursday am...then on to Wichita.
GT is performing well and the A/C is blowing Ice cubes...even in the 95 to 100 degree heat. Averaging 20ish mpg too....

The GTS and I are in Buffalo, WY..........all the way down through alberta, across the border, South to Great Falls, Buttue, Billings, Montana then into Sheridan and Buffalo.
Car never missed a beat despite the heat and the 1400 kms we did today.
Off to sleep then on the road to Denver..............see everyone there for the pre-OC meet.
