Change of plans... but in a good way!!!

Really wanted to come to the OCIC, but didn't think there was any way until Divine intervention strikes again! I'm squeezed between jobs right now, but my main client needs us to go to Kansas City the 11th thru the 13th... sooooooo, I'll just get a car after dropping him at the airport on Friday afternoon and drive down to Wichita!

928OCIC Registration completed - check
Room at the Hyatt booked for Friday and Saturday night - check

Look forward to seeing everyone there, and glad this all came together, even at the last minute. Just wish I could drive my car, but this will give me more time to drool on everyone elses 928's and not have to worry about mine!

I'd intended to make the trip to meet all you guys ... but my elderly mother is moving to a community village, and I decided just recently that I should stay here to help her through the move. Lucky I'd made that decision because she's now in hospital .. although it would seem she should be OK.

I'll be making the trip over to catch up with everyone, hopefully sooner rather than later, and will probably roll a 928 event into a longer holiday.

I'm really disappointed that I can't make it to a 928 event yet again, and particularly this one, but I'll get over there.

I'll be looking forward to the pics and all the stories to go with them.

It's a pity I can't get there to give Roger a manual driving lesson ... and personally introduce him to some fine Tasmanian wine ...... next time

That's great Rick. Had thoughts of doing this one, but projects got in the way.

As for Tom getting the "longest drive in a black 928 w/o AC", with his starting point, he is on track to beat my all time record from L.A. to the 2000 OCIC. :-) My thermometer registered 130 degrees inside the car going through Phoenix that year.

Tomorrow is D-Day (or should I say A/C day)... appointment set up to get the system charged. Hope all the work I've done holds and it works... keeping fingers crossed..cause I really want Dan to keep his record LOL..
