So sad I missed this event. Was getting the car ready to go Friday when I found a broken rear shift linkage coupler.
Glad you guys had great weather.

Everyone, keep in mind this event is for 928 people, not 928's. Come by any method possible, arriving in your in a 928 is optional but not required.

First, my thanks to Roger, Laura and Mike, Jim M., and Zane for all of the hard work that went into another super fabulous and fun Third Coast. And, thanks to all who allowed me to drive lead in the third group (thanks, Ken, for your comment!)...couldn't have done it without Larry, Curley and Moe...

Secondly, I'd like to add my thanks to all for just being great folks! I'm relatively new to the 928 community, but all make me feel like I've always been a part of the family. And, Bill Tool, you make me feel like I can almost keep up with all you driving pros...I can't drive 55!!

Finally, but not lastly, I'm thrilled to have won the OCIC gift certificate as it means I get to go to my first convention!! Roger, your generousity is awesome...you da man!!

Smiles from Dallas,
Barbara

Big Fun it was. Thanks to the Roger and the rest for putting on another stellar event. Thanks to Tony for sharing a room and not minding my drunken snoring. A big thanks to Andy for taking me on as passenger for the drive in the Stroker. Thanks to Jerry for picking up my check at lunch after I went to the restroom and forgot to pay. Thanks to all those that contributed to the beverages, snacks, movies, games, wrenching, for the party in the parking lot. And a special thanks to the parking lot hooker for telling me I was cute.

What a great time! Thanks so much for the friendship and fellowship. Truly a great group of folks that I'm proud to know. Thanks to Laura and Crew (yes, this means you, Rog) for putting on such a quality event. It's truly become my most looked forward to activity of the year.

Of course, thanks to Sean for doing his level (albeit hungover) best to keep me and numerous others on the road. You're an Ace, bud.

If ya haven't been...ya gotta go!

Oh yeah - Mike - while you weren't looking, I squeezed your *****.

Forgot to mention the awesome driving skills of Jim Masurk while checking out the course on Friday. He was able to gain control of his GTS when he came over a hill and went into a slide entering a curve, fishtailing several times, and managing to keep it on the road. Know Roger was happy about that as he was the passenger, but never doubted that Jim could get in under control. I was grateful to have Herman at the wheel...we were right behind Jim. Even more grateful that there was no oncoming traffic...would have been nasty. My regret is that we didn't get it on video as it was totally AWESOME!!! Great driving, Jim! Great car...great driver!!!

I got back to T-town about 9:45 last night after having another great time at this event. It was nice seeing old friends and making new ones. Thanks to all involved in making this such an awesome event - Roger, Zane, Laura, Mike, Chuck, Jim, Sean and anyone else I've failed to mention. Also, thanks to everyone who voted for the "Velvet Hammer" in the People's Choice award.

Here are a few of my pics from the event, including Herman's beautiful GTS with new dealer take-off 18" Panamera wheels.

He was just flattered you didn't recognize him in drag.

I had a blast this weekend. Met many great people. A good intro to my first annual event.
Many thanks to Roger, Laura and all the team who put this together.
I took way too many photos, so here is a few of the first ones.

Here's a couple more pics.
I think I may have found a new model for the calendar. Look at that pose on the hood of the white S4!!
