The price won't be anywhere near $400

I agree! It looks like an $800 part to me by any measure of value.

WOW! That is certainly true to an FBA Certified Fabricator; and not even bumping the cost based merely of the Certificatgion.

Realy not sure where you are going with this? The shifter will be priced to make sure that the buyer gets a good value and I profit a couple of bucks.

I guess that is just about exactly as it should be. Nice going.

There's only one way to find out....testing.

Function doesn't look like an issue...it's very nicely done.

I am just throwing the BMW cost out there, we are a bit spoiled to have the $80 and $200 shifter options out there in the 928 world. A truly great shifter would be worth it, you use the gearbox so much in a 5 speed.

I understand you were using BMW price to justyfy the cost of a nice functional shifter for the 928. I just wanted to make sure potential buyers do not think they are going to have to spend $400

Thanks

I was working on the shifter today, I needed to turn a rev 3 part into a rev 4 part and I decided to just make a new part. while I was doing that I came up with a way to make the stock shift lever work with my set up without having to make parts for the stock lever and parts for the short throw lever. One of my parts will be an eccentric which will just need to be rotated 180 degrees to switch from the stock lever to the short shift lever. This is very cool due to the fact that I will have to make less parts and that buyers will be able to try both ways and pick which one they like the best. I do not have any pictures of what I am talking about but I have have done some drawings on my cad system and have verified that it will work.

Also it looks like I am going to start machining a small initial run of parts in the next couple of weeks. I will have pricing soon.
