H try this site it gives different paint codes for the same color
Your code might be 37W

http://www.landsharkoz.com/colourstart.htm
click on colors
Note there are regular and water based paints, if you want a certain color then adding the paint code on the car is essential for a perfect match

in the long run it will be cheaper to paint.

As well, with putting on already painted parts, one that has sat in the sun longer will be a slightly different colour. It will need some blending to not look out of place.

Heinrich: I don't know if they have anything left but IIRC Jager Engineering in Canada had a midnight blue that was parted out a while back. I know the fenders were sold (I wanted to buy them) but who knows, maybe they never got used by the purchaser. Since Nicole has a business relationship with them (Jager) she might be able to get Veronica to help you out. You guys are buds so its worth a try, I think.

Heinrich,

I get it, and know exactly why. I would try to do the same thing and will keep an eye out for what you want.

For others, it has nothing to do with any body damage, last time I saw the GTS, IIRC it didn't have a single door ding, much less "wrecked" parts.

Cheers,

H at any rate what is the paint code on the car you have?

its a 94 GTS.

if you want others to look for you this little tidbit of info will be of assistance to the people searching as this color may be found on earlier S4s,
it might suck for someone to find dark blue but not have the correct code so you will then not have a match
