Default GTS - Connector under handbrake cover?

Does anyone know what the round electrical connector (looks like a small version of the connectors to the console switches for lights, hazard, etc) under the handbrake handle cover is? It isn't connected to anything.

Yep, seen it on 90 and later US verions...IIRC 89s too.

Have brand new motors and adapters here if anyone wants to do a retrofit :-)

May have the switch too, will have to hunt for that. Planned to do my 90GT, but got distracted with life.

Will hunt for the switch later today..pretty sure I know exactly where the other parts are (J/K). When I get it all in hand I will make you a special "Heinrich GTS" deal on them....and can ship together with the other stuff.

If you missed my email or if it went into the dark night of the Internet, please add a Temp II sensor as well as the other temp sens on the air intake; as well as a hall sensor and a couple of knock sensors.

Got the email, thanks! Will look around for some other premo used stuff for your GTS resto. BTW, I can't recall now, how is the engine harness? I have a soft limpy one here, will make you a smoking deal on it IF you need it.

OH, be sure and check our New Parts Clearance/Overstock section on the website..lots of new stuff going at "Crazy Dave" prices...more being added daily.

I thin we should consider replacing that harness as well Dave. I looked at your crazy deals ... WHOA, some excellent new part prices there.

you should check the WSM for wire diagrams,
the round connector may be for a stereo fader and not a headlamp control,
also if you decide to fit the headlamps you need H4 headlights with the correct adjusters so the lights can pivot H5 will not work for this application

Thanks Rob. Yes that's it. Stan thank you as well, I had forgotten about that little detail. I have H4's but don't want to instal them, I prefer H5.

From what I understand there is a lot of things that have to be changed to do this, including the pivots the lamps swing on.

I have done this - fully functional - lots of work....!

You need the motors and potentiometer/****. The wiring to the CE panel is incluced in all late model US cars - however the wiring from the CE panel to the headlamps is not. This loom is much harder to route.

You do not need new headlamp yokes (some rumors on this - simply not true...) - you do need H4's - the frame & adjusters of H5's are not designed to pivot and are complete crap for cutoff aiming adjustments anyway. I'd say do not even consisder this without H4's already installed.

By the time you are done - this costs about $800 and 4-5 hours of work (including H4's)

Alan

PS - H - if you prefer H5s to H4s you need to schedule a trip to the Optometrist or the Dr's... just sayin...
