So check out this picture.... what is this switch next to the hatch release? Is this a stock option? Car looks european, being it has a .nl web address...
also, I see it has a knee board for the driver side... yet I notice the digital dash, what gives? Just when I thought i was getting a good understanding on what the 87-91 928's came with...
Anyone expertise will be greatly appreciated.... as I learn more here about these great cars!

The headlight distance adjuster is an EURO feature, goes together with H4 headlights. H5 headlights on US spec cars don't pivot. It can be retrofitted but only together with H4's. If you would go this way, get the electric adjustment system (as of '90 I believe), not the crappy hydraulic system (up to '89). Plus wiring from the **** to the front head lights is needed.
I think the knee board and digidash is stock for all 89 models, it wasn't an option. The knee board changed into a knee pad as of '90 or '91.

I'd say its '90 or early '91 MY since it has later pod with visible reset button and potentiometer. IIRR '89 MY still used under pod buttons and had reset button in center console. ROW cars got standard airbags in late '91 MY.

Interior is obviously mixed up from two cars. Factory would not do something like that except through Exclusive program. Its unlikely anyone would spend lots of $$$$ to get something so mixed up like that.
