2 cars wish I still had are a 1971 dodge charger r/t. Had a 440 magnum (no a/c, or p.s.) and would do above 150mph before starting to 'float'. Second was a 1968 Camaro rs. Also wish I had kept my very first car, a 1935 dodge business coupe that is now a hot rod (brothers car now)

There was my 1970 full race black on black RoadRunner, 4 speed, air grabber hood - I should never have sold.

Then there was the 1970 Dodge Challenger, 318 basic, but a great car, I should never have sold.

Then there was my completely stock 1970 383 RoadRunner, plum crazy, 4 speed, air grabber, I should never have sold, but did so to a friend, as I totaled it and did not have collision insurance. $400 bucks. Parts of this car live on today on my friend's 1970 440 six pak 4 speed plum crazy RoadRunner, with air grabber hood. Yes, he still has it.

Then there was the 1967 VW bug, street baja, Cragars with fat meat, with the Corvair 110 hp engine in the back. Used to chase 911's on The Snake (Mulholland Drive). They'd finally give up trying to shake me and would pull over to see what the heck I had. Really fun car.

I also kinda miss my 1975 Pontiac Astra 4 speed, which I had rebuilt the engine, doubling the hp of the engine, steel sleeved, high compression, cam, headers, dual webers, suspension, the works. I had stripped all the smog off of it and when the law changed to semi annual smog tests I had to sell it, and sell it outside of the city limits. I sold it to a guy in Mojave, for basically what I had in the motor, and he raced it at the dirt track in Willow Springs.

I've got a MOPAR again, I'm not letting this one go.

Someday my 928 might be listed here for the car I never should of sold.
Drove a 2007 997TT the other day.
It was interesting seeing all the cars other guys have had
Back in 1978 looked at Hemi Challenger that a guy who worked at a Dodge dealer had for sale back then he wanted $4000
I was just out of school and $4000 was alot and couldn't sell my car in time to get it but of course never knew what that car would be worth today.
Then there was either 67 or 68 Mustang GT500 factory roll cage motor and trans was out of the car the guy was talking $2500 way back in the same era but later he backed out of selling it.That car sat on the side of his house for years nice blue color which later oxidized into a milky blue/white man it was sad to see that car sit and deteriorate.

Oh well, glad it didnt get far, I probably will never sell that car again.

Another Z owner!

Yeah, I regret selling my highly modified 280Z.
I spent probably $10k on customization, and ended up selling it for $3k.

At the time, I needed the money for a more "practical" car.
But in retrospect, it would have been great to just keep the car,
and get something else as a second car. It would have been
fun as a weekend warrior.

After reading all these posts it became painfully obvious that virtually everbody sold their beloved cars to please their GF or wife, to get a practical car for the family or as a down payment for a house. Hell, our moms threw out our baseball cards that would be worth a fortune and our spouses made us give up our rides. Thats why mid-life crisis re-purchases of big-boy toys that we had in our teens and twentys are going for up to $100K or more. Damn women.......if sheep (or llamas) could iron, we might not need them. Well, I guess thats not entirely true......but you know what I mean.

Haha Nice resumé Ninespub... Not to mention the 90° back braking seats...Here is mine circa 1981

DANdeMAN: Nice looking Healey! Is that a 100-6 or 3000? My '61 was Healey Blue (light blue metalic) with English White side swoops and my '65 was all Healey Blue. Both had wire wheels and navy blue interiors with white piping and navy tops. The '65 convertible was much more civilized with a drop-down top and roll-up windows but it couldn't have the uber-cool half-zipped tonneau cover like the '61 roadster did. It was amazing what you could do (or have done to you) with an open air car and under a tonneau cover with a spirited young lady. Yeah baby!! The good old days!

Bronto: I feel your pain. 1971 Pontiac Formula 400 Ram Air III with the rear spoiler. Was not original as the 400 engine was blown-up by the prior owner and replaced with a TransAm 455SD.
