analog clock on the cheap

IMHO, I kind of like it. Some of the mods I've seen here are just downright tacky. This one is neatly done, blends in with the rest of the round instruments and *****. he took his time to get the backing plate to match. And in the end, if he/his dad eventually change their minds, they can revert back to the original setup. Sounds very well done to me.
And I don't think he posted to get opinions. Just to show what could be done. Sorry, but the criticisms that came through here are out of line. I'm a bit of a purist and would not make a modification such as this - not because I don't like it (I do) but because I would want the original clock in place. But to each his own. I've seen some interior, wheels, body work, etc posted here that I wouldn't touch with a 10 foot pole, but that's just me. In the end, I appreciate the work that has gone into the project, no matter how big or small it may be.
As for some of the nay-sayers, loosen up.

Well who would have figured a clock would cause such a stir?
OK first off my relationship with my dad is nobody's business, and off topic.
My opinion of 928s is high enough that my username is not 4cylPorscheman, it's FRPorscheman, because I like all FR (front-engine rear-wheel-drive) Porsches. Not that that is relevant at all, either.
This mod can be undone like nothing happened with a new shifter surround piece, which is not rare or expensive. So even if you hate it, I don't see what the big deal is.

+1 looks better in that pic, the angled one made it look too big in that small space.
No you said we "aren't driving a brand new 997 that warrants keeping things original" and "incessantly pretend as if your car is still the top of the line thing around".
I guess you weren't sharp enough to catch the sarcasm in my last comment.

Lesson learned - better to have no pic than a poor one, with this crowd anyway.
Yeah, I'm not French but I can see how my username can be misleading. I'm American - actually it's the teenager video gaming lifestyle that taught me that nomenclature, back in the days when FR did not include the Panamera.... nowadays I need a new username.
You need to be careful (skilled?) to use sarcasm in text and get your message across as intended. I got tired of confusion so I decided to stick with simpil speek. I didn't get the sarcasm, I thought you were just being mean.

Hes logic dictates that all older cars do not warrants keeping things original. Cause they are not worth it really - 911 / 928 / Ferrari / Jaguar / Corvette / AC / Model T ....
My observation.
