Default Tow Hook License Plate Bracket

I just clicked on one of the ad links that cycles at the top of the forums and thought this was clever.

Although they don't call out the 928 as an applicable model, it seems like it should work just fine on our cars:

I have on for the Spyder from www.usmillworks.com

Very high quality product and they may be able to work with the 928 community to develop the right product if there's enough interest. Same may apply to moweraxle

Good solution.

You could simply cutoff a towhook then drill and tap for a bolt .Be sure to well lubricate the threaded socket in the frame rail to prevent corrosion. Great idea !

It would just make it a whole lot easier for someone to steal your plate from you. Yes, it happens all the time around hear. I must admitt it looks good though.

Easier than what - turning a couple screws?

How many plate stealers would have a clue that the plate was mounted to a large single bolt which is hidden behind the plate.....

I dunno man, but they can sure jerry-rig up some creative solutions to everyday problems that I just "call up the man" to do for me.

So...wouldnt put much beyond the simple turn-screws creative thought with people that steal stuff.

I wonder what this mount does if you "bump" a little, or something bumps it?

The plate and the support behind the plate would bend. I'm not sure what a harder tap would do.

Saw one on a Ferrari at Cars & Coffee a couple of months ago. Looked great, and I immediately thought of doing it on mine. Had planned on picking up an extra hook at Sharktoberfest this fall to do it with.
