I would be interested in hearing about where you could electrically connect the LED's to make them work as true running lights. Not just lights that came on with the parking lights.

I'm starting to see lot's of young kids in their mom's cars put these LED strips on their bumpers... Yeah, it looks a bit ghetto when everyone knows you bought them at the local auto part for $9.99. Sorry man

Actually surprisingly there aren't that many places to access ignition power in the engine bay/fenders...

Alan,

I know where to pick up ignition on power at the sterio, I am suprised that there isnt a terminal in the engine compartment that would be available.

Thanks, Andy. Porsche, too!

Took the pics with my phone. Will take some shots with a real camera when I get back. The phone made them look a little blue. They are pure white.

Hey Sean can you elaborate where to grab power; after your post this seems to be a question.

More pics. Need to go take improved nighttime photos (now would be good... except the camera battery is dead. Ugh).

I saw photos of a Guards Red 928 S4 from Texas, somewhere on the net with these lights, and it did not look good

I think it can potentially look good if you had a Xenon kit on the lights, because the contrast between the bright white LEDs and the old yellowy Halogen lights is too much.

I agree, Phil, I don't love the yellow/white contrast. Full Xenon kits are huge $$$$, though, and as far as I know not available for a 928 (EDIT: apparently these are available; I'd not looked before!). I'll try replacing the bulbs for now. Haven't searched yet, but I assume others have replaced the stock bulbs with newer whiter-light emitting (please, not blue!) ones. Suggestions welcome!

Looks like $25 of LEDs might cause me to spend big $ on real lighting...

Though the 928 Specialists kit is no longer available?
