Default Air Pump delete exhaust/head cap for 79OB

Just took my 928 in for service. Got some oil leaks fixed and other odds and ends straightened out. My mechanic called to tell me he just noticed that when the headers were put on by the PO the secondary airpump was deleted. I've got somekind of open tubing into the head -- at the exhaust port - which is resulting in a exhaust leak.

He suggested we order Parts #928 113 136 00 & 928 113 135 01 -- so he can close off this "opening" which is causing an exhaust leak. I'm wondering if there's a kit or something else others have done when removing the air pump with headers.

Sorry If I'm mangling the terminology here but hopefully this is enough info that someone can chime in with their suggestions.

Thanks,
David

The correct caps are expensive from Porsche - the tube is pretty soft - I cut the tube about 1" from the manifold and squish it closed.

The two pipes you quote are $30 & $50 respectively. I am not convinced that adding them will make any difference.
You just need to cap the orifice into the head. Can you figure out the thread size?

I think I understand...So, I just need a threaded fitting to plug the hole....Can you help identify the size or even where to get one in Aluminum? I don't want to use brass on the Aluminum block. I would think they header suppliers would include these with their headers? No?

My Local O Rielly's had the right thread size plugs for $3 each with sealing ring if you are talking the plugs that go into the back of the heads.

I don't think we have an O'rielly's by me. I've never heard of them. Thanks though.

They are M16x 1.5 threaded plugs. Should be able to find them at a decent autoparts supply house.

You mean like PCNA?
900 219 004 02 and 900 123 018 30
Shipped for free to you local Porsche parts counter, or a great tag-along with a larger order from you fav. 928 parts vendor!

I do my best to stay out of NAPA, Advance, O-Reilly's..... unless I need brakleen and shop rags.
