To the OP:
Use it per the label and you should be fine.
Be aware that the brake booster hose is connected to the cover on one side. You want to have the stuff go in just downstream of the MAF so it flushes the iol swamp out of the belly of the intake.

I'd have thought the vacuum line for the charcoal canister diverter valve would be an excellent candidate - comes in right by the throttle plate, so will go into both sides of the intake evenly.

Sea Foam, haha, that must be what James Bond uses when he wants to elude goldfingers henchmen.
Debate sea foam all you want. here is what you do to clean a 928 engine:
1 quart of Rislone in an oil change, along with your normal oil (the best), run the engine hard for 500 miles, change oil. Do that at intervals once every 3 years or so. http://www.barsproducts.com/100QR.htm
1 bottle of techron in a tank of gas, twice a year (about)
Back of the valves will shine, engine will be clean. Done.

While not advocating the product, who you know, isn't more than a narrow swipe at the interwebs and the people that do use it..and yet the internets are not full of cars in ditches after using seafoam.
Hell, did wonders for my 83 RX7 getting junkyard motors unstuck (apex seals) when the racecar needed a replacement [often].
But..seafoam did not clog up an oil filter...anecdotal evidence is nothing more than white noise, with a TON of detail not present.

Yes I will also vouch for the power of Seafoam and its restorative properties, however if your motor is running well, it may be over kill.
Chrysler made something similar (Combustion chamber cleaner) that is much stronger, and will remove carbon from piston crowns and valves.
(Back on subject) -Seafoam can damage an engine if you are too aggressive either by hydro-locking or overheating .. Use with care .

Well, you can read the whole thread that post came from:

The BG treatment really works, but you should have some reason to do it. So, I've never done it to my car, but we had it done on a buddy's GTS with carbon build-up and terrible pinging even on 91 octane.

Bill, I was able to get Dave C a full BG setup and a case of product for around 365, I bet there are dealers all over that will come close to that.

I was aware of the possibility of hydrolock (why the engine absolutely cannot stall while you are adding it via vaccum or else you're f*cked). My buddy was like "oh don't use it my buddy blew up his 85 Trans Am with that ****", he never really gave me a reason as to why it would have "blown up" his engine, i suspected just hydrolock though.

Gotta agree with TV, Rislone has been around for all my 68 years, and was the remedie of choice for getting the water sluge out of engines with blown head gaskets.
I've used it on all my engines except the 928, cause Porsche doesn't advise the use of additives. I do run a bottle of Techron through the car about every 6 months, and Marvel Mystery Oil with every tank. My shark loves the stuff. Prolly cause it's red like blood in the water.
