Brad,

They make different sensors for different applications.
1 bar for NA applications, 3 bar for low boost. 4bar for higher boost apps. It's less efficient as you will use less of the map than you normally do.

Do you use a 3 bar with your turbo, and at an idle do you drop to zero boost or dose it go to a vacuum
How much boost before you max a 3 bar?

I would think that all the MAP sensors would read absolute pressure. Could it even work if they stopped at 0 boost? That means at sea level you would max out a 3 BAR MAP sensor at ~29PSI. That would be one damn fast 928 if it could hold 29PSI.

If it helps, there are some good photos of our late-model installation from 2008 here:

https://rennlist.com/forums/928-foru...tromotive.html

Photos of the 32v install start at post #124

A dyno chart of a TecGT on a supercharged 16v motor is on post #96

The direct link to our Electromotive kit is here:
http://www.928electrical.com/

Note that we also now TecGT "accessories" in addition to the kit, as shown here:
Engine Management and Related
TEC GT Engine Management System
Distributor Covers
Crank Reference Sensor
Knock Sensor
Digital Dash

If comparing our Electromiotive kit to another dealer on price alone, be sure to use our "Universal kit price". It includes what we get from Electromotive and nothing else.

http://www.928motorsports.com/parts/...management.php

Our 928 Electromotive kits include the adapters, fittings, and brackets to mount the sensors and computer to the Porsche 928 specifically, plus our supplement to the Electromotive instructions to help wire it to a 928. Costs a little more than the "universal kit"

and finally, if you would like to look over the first part of the instructions, they can be downloaded here: http://www.928motorsports.com/install.php
They are toward the bottom of the page, under "Electrical"
