A 32v for $5k? It's going to be a basket case, I hope your judgement and pockets are deeper than you have displayed so far.

Where are you located? My white/black 86.5 5-speed is available. All it's good and bad details are listed in the Rennlist ad found in my signature, below. It was my daily driver for almost 10 years.

A local '89 S4 automatic has been for sale for some time (and price dropping). No mention of TB/WP/WBF work or inspection -other than a replacement engine, but looks decent from the pics...
Each ad is the same car... the seller has been posting different pics (4 pics max on CL ads):

Donald,
I see the Ebay listing had a buy it now price of 21K for the '80 and I see you show it as sold. I have an 80 and am always interested in what they are selling for. If you don't mind, I would be curious what it went for.

Jim,
You need to go watch your 928 EVOLUTION DVD again... No EURO S's are 32V cars... 16V cars only...as is mine. And, yes, while it was $3600 to buy it immediately need $3k in mechanical attention and then another $1500 in cosmetic help (and then I added the expensive cool wheels to it)... But to have a NICE (very nice actually) 928 you need to budget a minimum of $7500 IMHO... If you buy it for $1k you are probably going to need to spend another $6.5k on it to make it nice... That would be a pre-85 car too!
