FS: 1979 928 w/ 5spd & 86k miles $5,500obo
Posting for a friend...Just found a deal on a 911sc and recently had a baby...he's looking to sell his 928 as it never gets driven, just sits in his dad garage...Asking $5,500 obo
1979 with the 5 speed. Runs solid, no issues with that, the interior is really the only thing that needs help. it has 86k miles and hasnt really been driven in 4 years. maybe 200 miles in that time. The interior is called pascha. Tool kit, light kit, original compressor and everything included. Only thing changed are the wheels, they are off of a 02 Boxster S.
Any other questions just let me know....Here are some pics.

Depends on a closer look / mechanical review.
928's are notorious for looking like a better deal than they are.
My avatar car is a (very good) respray of an 84. Came to me for $2870. Bad news was transmission case was cracked. Good news a replacement was given to me by somebody here. To another owner, it would have been an unforseen nightmare.
If mileage rings true and car runs and shifts well, and no special hidden damage, then fair price IMHO, maybe high.
I'd expect to have to refresh more than the interior, though.
And would be looking hard at the respray looking for clear coat adhesion and other clues of longevity in the elements.
Fair response?
