Default Pan Gasket - torque specs?

For the Kraken: Steering rack being replaced = motor mounts being replaced, too = pan gasket while we're at it.

Read a lot of pan gasket threads, and they all say to not overtighten the bolts. Well, yeah! But, none of them provides a torque spec, either. Anyone have that info? "Hand tight" is not torque spec.

OPG or cork?

For OPG, I go hand snug, by feel, sequentially, trying to equally compress the gasket slightly, with loctite in clean holes.

Not a place where a torque wrench value worked for me. Can't get to some of them anyway.

I first hand tighten all bolts, then do a round with 6ft/lb then a round with 7ft/lb. Works for me.

On the hard to get at bolts I use a crowsfoot at the end of the torque wrench.

Crowsfoot on a torque wrench does not give an accurate reading, unless you can get the centerline of the fastener exactly in line with the centerline of the torque wrench - which is really difficult to do.

Usag Torque Wrench delivered with exchangeable crows feet, they mount into the front of the torque wrench.

The WSM has the specs. Give it lots of time between passes. I came back 24 hours later and found the torque values where no where near where I set them. Also make sure you get the shorter fastners in the holes that require them.
