I passed a CHP up when I practically topped the car out (needle said 160). The lights came on but I kept my foot in it for about 2-3 more miles before getting off on an exit. Never saw the cop again after that...
I also didn't know how fast I was really going after I looked at the gauge since I was so focused on driving straight and precise. This was after a Sharktoberfest mind you..

Tomball, TX SR 2978, 48 mph in 45 mph zone. $180 ticket and 10 hr safe driving class that cost $79 more. " Arrest me" red car and very large female cop with obvious serious case of PMS. And I was polite and respectful too, at least for me.

Well, my 95 in a 55 cost me mucho $$$$... Not to mention my having to virtually give the car away as the bank called the note due after the insurance company cancelled my insurance. This cop just laughed at me but gave me the ticket anyway.

I got my first ticket the other night. The cop said he clocked me at 75 in a 50, but only gave me a ticket for 64 in a 50, which is a big break money-wise. Thought I was going to get off, but I guess that's never going to happen here in Jersey.
I see you guys stories of going over a hundred and not even getting pulled over and I'm amazed. Up here, you'd stand a good chance of losing your license.

Wasn't me, but 140+ on the turnpike here. Young cop let this person go after a quick tour of the car. Might have had something to do with *****, but unsure since I was not there.

I will ask the cop next time I see him, he is the head to the local HEAT team here, big Cajun dude.
The speed limit there used to be 55, they had recently changed it to 45, then they threw up some orange cones and a work zone sign and posted it at 35.
So that is 39 over, they also got him for Reckless driving, and that is the one that will hurt.

Up north if you are going more than 160KMPH they normally flash the lights, or just radio ahead.
The latter being the more prominent. Then they may get the helicopter up.
So in other words, if you are doing 130 in a 90 zone, see the cop, pin it up to 190, then drop to 180 as you drift under an overpass as it is pissing rain. Then you pick up the tire as you accelerate up to 250, make sure you go right under the flight path of an incoming aircraft and park the bike will hidden so that they dont know where you went.

I have one from 7 years ago, I was 15 in high school parents were out of the country I took the 928 out to the movies and was basically just being dumb, flooring it every chance I had. Got pulled over by the police cop realized I had no DL and just asked me some questions about what kind of car it was and let me go. I almost s*** my pants. Drove straight home.

I've never escaped a ticket going much over the speed limit. Don't recall my fastest ticket...maybe this one: when I was about 22, driving a 69 Chevelle Malibu SS 396 at about 120, I passed a CHP going the other way down a rural road outside Barstow. I came over a sharp rise in the road and was airborn when the CHP went by. In those days there was no speed limit in Nevada, and I was just about to the border. Still got a nice ticket for about 100, but it was nothing compared to what you would get today. I had so many tickets when I was young, I could not get insurance in CA. And it was not legally required in those days. I went for 4 or 5 years without any. Egad!
Anyway, it must have been close to shift change or coffee and donut time in your case. Lucky.
