Default New LED lighting option (front/exterior)

Found these online, and they're pretty damn amazing (I think). I love the Audi/Mercedes (and some newer Porsches) look with the LED light bars in or near the headlights. These strips are incredibly thin and self-stick. They fit in all 3 of my cars' openings under the headlights, and can be trimmed to length. They're called "Lightning Eyes" and they're made by Plasmaglow. Only $25 on Amazon for a pair.

For the 928 application, they're long enough to go the entire length of the front driving lights and up the side a little, too. I think I'll just do a bar that stays on the bottom side of the driving lights, though.

They're cheap and easy enough to install that if they look like crap, I can just take 'em right off. I think they'll look pretty cool, though, and they're extremely stealth as well; you really have to look for them to see them. Hopefully the photos demonstrate how thin the strip is.

Nice Donald! Might have to try that.

I'm not quite in tune with the idea of these strips under/over/around headlights/runninglights. Is it just a fashion fad or do they really have a purpose? They are fairly noticeable, so I guess they could be perceived to be daytime running lights.

I'd be interested in other applications in the car as well and pics of them in action and further details on the dimmer wiring. I'm not against pimping my ride. I've got Paul's fiberoptic door sill plate lights, almost full LED interior lights, LED sidemarkers, and small LEDs illuminating the door handles from behind.

Bill, I think it's both. I'm hoping for some functionality, but I definitely love the Audo/Mecedes/new 911 LED strips for the look, too. According to bunch of reviews, these do give off a fair amount of useful driving light. Plus they're incredibly inconspicuous when not lit.

I agree, too, there's a ton of good uses for these. Inside the glove box; rear hatch area; under the doors for ground lighting, under the hood. Lots of choices.
