1st get rid of that damn music! use it for the intro, or highlights, but the entire time, its hard to hear what you and the car is doing. I think there are some turns you could drop into 2nd.
blip for those downshifts more, and more pedal down the straights, even if you have to let off and brake earlier.
car sounds good , from what I can hear.
looks like fun!

3/11/15 Update - headed to VIR tomorrow for the Zone 2 PCA HPDE
Extracted the Kraken from its winter shell Monday evening, but not without much consternation. The April 2012 Autocraft Gold (Advance Auto Deep Cycle) battery did not survive the harsh MD winter that saw record low temps. I was able to jump start but the battery failed to hold a charge overnight. Spent much of the morning at Advance Auto, and after three failed tests and wasting 2 hours of my time, they finally gave me a free replacement.
Amazing how the 928 responds to a fresh battery! Really just a totally different car with a brand new one. After this battery dies, I'll likely hunt down an Optima that fits, if there is one.
Got the car through the pre-race tech inspection without issue. Due to almost-certain rain the first two days of this three day event, times will be slow. I have no desire to stuff the Kraken into a wall! Fortunately that's hard to do at VIR. Much more likely to drift out into a field.
Changed the oil, and also began the AC removal process. The condenser and receiver/drier are now out of the car, significantly opening up airflow to the radiator. Hopefully this results in even cooler on-track temps. Note to future condenser removers: there's two bolts connected to the bottom of the condenser, obscured by rubber grommets just in front of the radiator (there's 5 grommets, but only two of them reveal bolts!).
Tomorrow - 300 mile journey to VIR and not towing this time (long story). Fingers crossed I'm not towing home come Monday.

Mike,
Good luck at VIR. Keep on keeping the 928 out 'in front' of those rear/mid engine Zuffenhausen modifications of Herr Doktor Engineer Ferdinand Porsche's original Volkswagen design!
Safe travels too and from - the most dangerous part of your weekend.

As promised, VIR video :-)
Car performed beautifully throughout the weekend. Removing the condenser made an enormous difference in on-track coolant temps, and thus overall performance. I turned some of my best-ever laps at VIR, and wasn't even really pushing to the max given that I decided against trailering the car down.
