Hey, so I'm not going to be able to pick it up now until the 16th. So if you're not busy that day, I'd be happy to stop in Fremont or Hayward or wherever you might be. Let me know.

Couldn't get down there yesterday due to an unannounced visit from someone I didn't want to see who took up three hours of my morning and almost ruined a planned afternoon BBQ.

So I will pick it up next Saturday. It's done, wheels and all! Can't wait.

ps: deleted that last post (off-topic).

Picked her up today! She's beautiful beyond my expectations! I'll take her out tomorrow for a photo shoot and post pics.

Well, it isn't my day. First shoot; dirty lens. Second shoot; left my memory card in my computer. Third shoot went fine. But, when I got home, i was backing it into my (tight) garage and I scraped the fender. I can't believe it. I'm livid!

I'm sure it can be fixed easily, but it's gonna be another week in San Jose and more $$$.

Here are the pics (before I scraped the fender): http://www.flickr.com/photos/trav_yo...7627219584950/

I think I was married to you about 20 years ago. It all sounds so familiar.

Sorry for the problems, at least your paint guy won't have any issue matching the paint.

OK, I cooled-off and went out and looked at it again --not as bas as I thought. It's mainly scraped in three places from the rear side reflector to the wheel well. It did go as high as the bottom of the gas cap door, and there's dent in the wheel-well, but it looks like it will hammer out. Most of the cosmetic damage appears to be paint from the garage door trim and no deep gouges in the new paint. I just hope that it being a pearl finish doesn't make it harder to match.

Too late to ask for alimony, I guess.

Looks great. You might want to wait until you have all the reassembly done before you touch up new damage. Easy to drop a tool or a part on fresh paint.

Beautiful! Once you have your interior installed, you'll have the nicest early 928 in the norcal928 group

Thanks Nicole! That's a stretch tho, especially considering Dave's '78.
