Fixed the password issue. Sorry about that.

The trim I'm talking about are the pieces that go over the door and around the windows, removed in this pic: http://www.flickr.com/photos/trav_yo...in/photostream

Looks like the piece over the door should be the same color as the car, while the trim around the windows should definitely be a different black, like here: http://static.cargurus.com/images/si...pic-30735.jpeg

Yes, the "rain gutter" should be body color, but the trim around the glass should be black.

I've seen 928s where the window trim was painted in body. It just looked wrong.

A little hard to see through the shop dust (the just did that to tease you), but my guess is it is gonna look great. That is surely not the same metallic swartz I had on my '82 which actually looked a little root-beer up close in bright light.

This is going to be awesome! I had an '80 EuroS parts car that was Met. Black.
Keep the updates coming...

I have mp prototype for those vertical grill bars which is good for the the outside pair, and with a little modification the center third one can be made.

It requires a 4 foot aluminum bar 1/8" by 3/4" and it can be you can make them for the last time. Let me know if you are interested.

Hey, thanks Andre, but I've already ordered originals from Roger and they've been shipped.

WSM lists a brown/black color for some MY 928s.

Yes, that's great! I'm very curious to see how the rest of the panel gaps turn out. Actually, I'm very curious to see the whole result!

Not sure yet if I'll be picking it up next weekend or the one after, but either way, I'd be more than happy to meet you somewhere in the south bay on my way home to Berkeley so you can take a look. Let me know.

Thanks!

No, the dash is the original cork color. It's leather and in great shape so I'm going to dye it black. That's my next job. I'll also be looking for a new/refurbed pod. Then, I'm going to order a German Velour carpet kit from Rob Budd and once that's in, I have an entire interior from a '78 including sport seats which is red. Not too sure about the red still, so I may trade it or sell it for something else.
