Default help installing 930S wheel - hub issues!

I have recently bought an original 930S wheel that I want to fit to my 928 S4.
It came with the hub for a 911 (I think) & I still have my momo 7005 hub from my previous wheel.
But the 930S wheel & the momo hub have 2 different hole fittings so I can't put them together.
Is there an adapter or a special hub to be able to fit a 930S wheel onto a 928?

Thanks for any insight,
Howard

My window sticker shows "Steering Wheel with Raised Hub".... I would bet that "Raised Hub" is what you are looking for. Perhaps give Mark Anderson a call...

Fair enough.
Couple pics attached showing the wheel with the 3 holes, original hub it came with - 3 holes, and the momo adapter with 6 smaller holes.
Then a pic of the 2 hubs showing the different bottoms as the momo 928 hub has the turn signal 'catch', which the other one doesn't.

the HUB part on the right has a groove in it for adding the TS catch finger Ring,
it is a separate part thats secured with 3 screws it also has a wire to feed through to the horn button,
your hub may be missing it and it can be removed from your stock wheel hub and it should fit onto the right hub.
NOTE on the 930 hub there are 2 wires one is to carry the ground to the wheel then the other is to carry the button to the hub

Drill, tap and die set, or if all else fails, have someone with a welder weld some captive nuts to the back side of the hub (with the correct thread size and pitch for the applicable bolts to hold the wheel on.)

That's what I'd do at least...

Thanks Stan for this and the link.
Off with the old wheel again to see if I have that piece that I can transfer over.
I'll post here again to let you know how it went.

Hi Brian,

Yea, we're missing you at the GTGs mate!
Well, you're looking at one pic with my avatar (just behind the girl's ***). & if you go to my homepage (click on my name by the avatar) then there is an album for the S4.

Howie

Mission accomplished Stan, thanks!

I pulled the bottom piece off my standard hub & attached to the 930S hub. I searched all around but only have one wire there, so I hooked up the one wire and the horn works, so I'll leave it alone unless it stops!
The 930S hub is a little longer at the back, so I had to leave off the washer to attach to the steering column, but otherwise all went OK as you can see below.

Next project is to get rid of that ugly plastic shift ****. Already got the Jager leather shift **** & downshift relay, just needing Mr Champagne's leather boot for install.

Thanks again Stan.

The wheel looks good, BUT....

AHHH wait ,'
what did you say ?
you left off a washer?
What washer did you leave off the one under the big nut for holding the hub onto the shaft?

The last part of this install requires that the TS switch assembly be adjusted for correct height.

to do that remove the trim cover then 2 10mm bolts on the pod and remove the lower column cover,

with the wheel on make sure the horn ring is just touching the brass tab,
if its jammed or pressing too hard it will damage either the ring or the tab or both,

sorry for not adding that last piece of info you can look up to see how much the TS switch has to be moved

Which trim cover is it you are referring to that I remove first, Stan? Also what does TS stand for?
Thanks,
Howard

TS= Turn Signal... the assembly is often called a 'Stalk'.

You will see a cover (trim cover) in plastic to hide the attachment of the stalk to the steering column.
