Default speaker in lower door. Anyone have options that fit?

I've got speakers in the lower door panels. They are shot. 4" round. See picture. I'm having a hard time finding a replacement. Must have a grill cover. Many speakers today don't anymore. Also must have a full cover not that open cage look I see a lot of nowadays. Anyone have speakers in this location? Thanks!

I can't post picture from my phone. Will update later with picture.

I replaced my speakers fore and aft in my 82 with Memphis brand. They were a near perfect fit. They offer a slim line that may be what you need. They sound great, too.

My speakers are in the lower door. Cut into the carpet area. Is this the place those are on yours. My PO put them there. They sound decent. Guess more depth there than upper door?

I've only got the factory setup. There's very little room under that door panel with the leather on top, so I was lucky to find nice speakers that would fit so easily.

In your case, you could probably put whatever kind of speaker you want in there.

That armrest speaker is bizarre. That panel just pops out, and is not secure in the least. I'll bet that speaker rattles like crazy.

Gorgeous leather, though.

I wouldn't have put speakers on the panels either but I don't mind the lower carpet area. I always figured I could just replace the panels but thought I might have a hard time matching the cork color.....I never saw anyone put them there on a 928 before BUT it does sound quite good, more bass than stock and does not rattle at all. The panels are on nice and tight.
