Hi all,
Looks like I'll be able to make it! Yeah! However my car is really unpretty, having been my daily driver for two years now, even chaining it up on occasion to get home. Good news is I've just taken her off the daily driver list since my oldest just picked up a nice little 944, my daily driver is now the beloved Volvo 740 "beater". I've got a long list of stuff to attend to on the 928, maybe I'll seek some advice from you other picknickers.

I'm trying to get a leather and vinyl repair specialist to do a presentation for us on Saturday at 11AM. He can fix scuffs and tears, and re-dye seats to look like new, and the cost is pretty reasonable. He can also fix dash cracks. I believe this could be interesting for a lot of owners.

Great Nicole the leather specialist will be appreciated. I could use some help on my drivers side bolster. I will be there with the better half. Looking forward to seeing everybody.

We'll try to save you some lunch, but usually it gets wiped out by 1. The ride is at 2:30. No problem on the 996.

I was packed and ready to go, but somehow mistook this for a later summer rally..that said, up till 4 days ago, the 86.5 I brought home from Florida, and myself would have been there ... still have the whole car, minus the body and tires. .full Paint now, be awhile.

economy rental car to Tampa, to buy a retiring 928 mechanic's binders (with lots of penciled notes)$250.00..
shipping back to California $1100.00...
Guinness in Key West $4.00.. Guinness in Key West $4.00..Guinness in Key West $4.00..Guinness in Key West $4.00..............
Home finally, Pushed in garage,WSM reading, cleaning,forums, grounds,cleaning,cleaning.. replacing: plugs, fuses, ignition control modules and the crank position sensor..oh less than $100
Calling the PO on the cars arrival and again (6 days later
) since he asked me if you get it running ..." hearing him, say "You Bastard" right before he hung up....maybe it was don't call?

Dang it !! Thought we would finally be able to make it this year after missing your last two, but of course tomorrow requires work out of town and there's no way we'd be back in time 
Was looking forward to the fun run too, and the anticipated "brisk pace" with your new suspension
