Yes, it's a trans cooler, I have an electric pump circulating oil. I'm not sure that was a good idea to mount it there.

Has yours always been mounted with the metal strip that's at the top where the hatch closes? If that wasn't there things could move around.
Yes the top and bottom bars are there and will be in place but they do no help with flattening this problem area.

I will take a Lowe's trip today looking for an idea. Thanks. I will follow up with what I do.

I'm putting that channel edge back on the cover at the bottom. Is your POP RIVETED or screws???

Thanks.

Well so far it looks much better. I purchased a 3'-0 long x 3/4" x 3/4" 1/8" aluminum angle. Had to cut about 3" off to fit from light to light. I used my DA and ruffed up the angle with 80 grit paper and I drilled several 1/8" holes in the leg that was being bonded to the bumper. I used JB Weld and set weights on it for 4 hours. The bumper shape is much better so far. I will get it mounted Saturday and see how it looks then.

Looks like a great solution. I am assuming the JB Weld will hold a long time.

Are the holes in the channel so that the JB Weld has a place to ooze through and lock the channel on? IE, you didn't use any mechnical fasteners, right?

Holes were just there to help the JB Weld have somewhere to ooze and form a head on. I'm not sure it helps but it sounded good to me at the time.
