Default Radiator leak, need advice

so while i was removing my condenser in preparation for a new compressor and a better used condenser i found this little leak. no i have no idea how long its been there, or if i just caused it, but to me it looks old. i was looking at other radiators for replacement, but i cant find much consensus if one is better then the other.

It does not look like physical damage, but rather that it lost corrosion protection for what ever reason, infrequent coolant changes, bad grounds, tap water, etc.

What ever, that radiator is pretty much done, get a new Behr from one or a aftermarket from one of our great vendors, but be warned that finding a aftermarket one that fits well can be a challenge from what I understand.

After market aluminum works great in my car. Threw the stock crap away. Known for leaks on side tanks.

I bought one of these from Mark, (cheaper than the Behr and no more plastic tanks) it is a tight fit, needed to trim the two rubber feet.

I hear ya, those crappy Behr's will only last 20+ years, lets see how long your aftermarket one holds up.

The original is still in my 81 and holding up just fine.

I may take it out and clean it really good this weekend. Need to install a new switch anyway.

I have an early 5 speed radiator it needs a right hand tank but it looks like it is in good condition,
has a freon sticker and the HEI ignition sticker on it and has no internal coolers.
Let me know what you find
