MY86 - what are these?

Default MY86 - what are these?

1) round hockey puck size ceramic disc on side panel adjacent to the a/c accumulator. looks like it has red/yellow wires.
2) adjacent to the jump post, a green wire, terminated in a push on connector.

IIRC its the resistor bank for the fan.

Several sensors can trigger the electric fan.

If the intake sensor is the trigger, which would occur with ignition off and the intake heating up as car sits after a run, then the signal is sent through the resistor to run the fans at reduced speed. Diagram shows it if you really dig

The connector is for the auto trans fan switch if you have the factory towing option.
