Default 1988 S4 work done after 4 days... : )

First this is an amazing car, it accelerates, handles flawlessly and is roomy...truly awesome...!

What I have done in the first 4 days:

- gutted the cats, resonators and put a magna-flow exhaust
- tinted all the windows
- swapped out all the speakers for Kicker and added a 12" subwoofer
- re-charged the A/C
- added a white racing stripe down the center of my red 928 S4

What I have on order:

- momo steering wheel and base
- momo auto shifter and boot
- carbon fiber fabric for the interior
- 4 x 19" racing rims
- 2 Recardo blk/red racing seats, no power and very little adjustement
- new LCD stereo with NAV, DVD etc...touch screen

I am sure there is more but I cannot remember all of the stuff at the moment...I will send a pic for before and after...!

Oh dear lord...

I suggest you invest your money and time in getting it mechanically (engine, transmission, suspension) and electrically up to par first, and then worry about the look and sound.

I assume from his username that he comes from a culture that is fanatical with regards to safeguarding personal information - I wouldn't hold my breath on him posting his name/location in this forum (at least not his full name). I made a reference to this very subject in another thread which came across wrong.

You go speed racer.

Now do the rest of the world a favor and spend some money to get it running right and SAFE. Like changing the fuel lines and the power steering lines.

Understand all but the last - what is the issue with the power steering lines?

Gotcha- did a search after it was mentioned. I just rebuilt my rack but reused the hoses as they passed a visual inspection. I suppose the smart thing to do is just replace (at least the pressure side) as the condition of the steel liner is questionable?

Frank, if your going to replace one side of the hoses might as well do both...

Also, please, please, please dont do the stripe and 19" wheels!

It's his car; he can do whatever he wants. I want to see pics of the exhaust system though.
