Most boards are pretty decent. I wouldnt worry about it too much. They will provide a lower output voltage than most current headunits do, so the only real upgrade that may be necessary depending on the amps and the inherent noise in your car (may just be able to crank the gains) is a good quality line driver. I will try and get something lined up prior to release. I have a couple options up my sleeves, but many people may just be happy with the standard output from the board.
I will be more attentive to the consumer side of the project soon. I just need to get board orders in and the PO's submitted on all the custom tooled parts that we are not making in-house as they all have 2-4week lead times. As soon as they are in, I will have time to start documenting and sharing details on the interface side of the project.

Some USB sound cards provide optical (TOSLINK) outputs. This would be the preferred interface to the amplifier. Are there any car amps that can accept optical inputs?
