Took a quick pick while doing some work on the cars today. Here is the 928 with the Cayenne S.

Waiting on the hood liner from Nicole to install pre Hershey as well as 928 brushed aluminum door sills, and a color engine badge from rodger.

I get "Sports Car Market" which gives actual sale prices from auctions. If you auction MOST 60's/70's cars you get max value. The buyers never seem to look under the cars and care only for the eye candy factor. Our cars seem an exception as they usually go for market (they more-or-less hate 928's and pick lame examples). After you pay fees you don't gain at auction with a 928. If you have a Chevelle 396 you're poopin' in high cotton. Good cars usually trade privately. We had good luck selling at car corrals, but the audience is not import oriented, so you need to get lucky.

Thats a nice ride and all the PM is done... If we had some Xtra cash lying around it would be in my garage... No way would I sell it - besides I hear RED is a little faster... Although, my Alpine White 86.5 tends to disagree KEEP IT!!!!

If you're serious about concours definitely let me know, I would be happy to offer pointers and also take a look at your car if you make it to one of the New England P-Car events.

New England shows include: Larz Anderson Museum in Boston will host the annual German Car day which is more of a fun event and there's the PCA concours at the same venue which is held in September.

I may be going to a concours in Southbury CT in May, that's not too far from you I imagine.

Blue I may take you up on that. Never been to Boston and the lady has been wanting to go so maybe we'll make a long weekend out of it this September.

BTW found some more pics of the car. It's with the old rims, the "competition package 16" ones. These will 100% be for sale at Hershey. The rims are in good shape and they are mounted with Michilen XRT G4's I think (I have to check). Good tread still left. Make an offer if your interested.

Anyway here's the pics...

How about engine, interior and underside pictures.
I'm seeing a nice exterior.
But your price idea is, well, optimistic unless its flawless in other views.

I heard MM's not done and mumbling about a clutch in the future?

Nice "for sale" ad otherwise.

Landseer, only thing for sale now is going to be those tires/rims. Everyone has convinced me to keep the car so really whatever you think about the asking price I was going to put on the car is irrelevant. I'll post some other pics of interior and engine up next week once the car is done being detailed but it's just as nice.

BTW motormounts not done because when I had them checked they were still well within spec, but when I do decide to do the clutch I'll do them too. Also clutch is good but any 30+ year old car approaching 100k (in 19,000) miles is evenutallly going to need a new clutch. I've owned well over 40 cars and heck I've put new clutches in cars a lot younger and with a lot less miles then this one. My Ferrari was an 83 and it got a new clutch at 30K.

Since I'm going to keep it, going to do one thing at a time to get it back to as much of a full restore as possible. As of now, after Hershey it's going to the shop for all fluids changed (I do that once a year anyway), all fuses and ground wires replaced (figure its time), and repair of the driver's side door lock which sticks sometimes. Little steps.

Good luck. When you have a good one it makes so much sense to just keep it.
