Repairs and changes you have to do before SITM 2011.

I also have some mental prep for the trip
Watch these movies:
"Deliverance"- "you sure got a purdy mouth" becomes "you sure got a purdy shark"
"Smokey and the Bandit"- "what we're dealing with here is a complete lack of respect for the law"; no change. Use channel 9.28 on the 2 way radios.
"LeMans"- "Racing is life; anything that comes before or after is just waiting" becomes "SITM is life; anything before or after is just waiting".
Anything I'm missing?

.... Starting to think too many, may be coming in a non 928 vehicle again this year.
Was planning on:
Pulling engine
New head gaskets
Redo heads with 968 intake valves, mild port work, new seals... etc
Upper and lower oilpan gaskets, front and rear main seals
Install supercharger (with the engine on the stand, should be much easier)
Fabricate new engine harness for conversion to standalone management
Install ebay find Devek coilover assemlies
Replace upper A-arm bushings
Replace defective TC bearings
Test waterbridge delete for use with the existing electric pump assembly
And that is just the short list. At this point, thinking hell is likely going to be the first event this 928 sees this year. At least its down at my buddies shop ready for the engine removal. That is progress, right?

Got my clutch assembly back late today.
They said is was not out much, but they sure had to do a bit of drilling on the flywheel and pressure plate.
I sure hope this takes care of the vibration issues.
I will know in the AM.

AC isn't fixed yet. I may not care. Though I've "fixed" too much to use the icebox option from last year.
Austin better be there jthwan22, Judith wants to see her once a year friend, she's been talking about it for 2 months!!

That took care of my vibration issues, good thing as I really did not have a plan if it did not correct it.
Smooth all the way up to the rev limiter.

We are waiting on some parts to get Dans intake back on so we had a couple of days to work on mine.
We have almost got the 30,000 mile t belt service done, plus some of the newly plated parts.
We may have time to install the LM1 so I can start the Sharktuning process.
I still have a big box of Greg Brown's hoses to install on my car.
Then other than a really good cleaning I should be all set for SITM after I can get a handle on the Sharktune.
