Default roger is the man..............

just wanted to give accolades to Roger...

I recently rewired my upper rear hatch light. The light itself was shot...
so over a month ago i ordered the light from a vendor...
a few weeks later i had not recieved it, so i emailed the company... several days later called, then emailed again after that..... finally got a response that they were sorry, etc... and it would be shipped the next day.....
almost a week later no part.. (they are next day upd distance from me)...
so I email again, and then was informed it was on backorder and they did not have any info on when it would be sent...

This went on for about a month..

This morning I emailed Roger about the light from his website.. I was not expecting a response until monday... I had a response within an hour.. WOW...
Unit was in stock, So i decided to also buy the X pipe from him... I sent an email about the pipe, etc... Again response super quick....

This was above and beyond customer service.... Thanks Roger...

This thread was not to bash the other vendor, as i will not name them... it was to praise roger..
It is also to let all the vendors that read these that customer service is important... a $50.00 part lead to a $600.00 sale.. and much more to come... He gust got a loyal customer...................

Steven,

What upper hatch light did you get? I need the front headliner light (above the rear view mirror) for EURO85...mine just broke earlier this week, so I am looking. I know some folks have done some other things like from a VW/Audi there...

i am not sure about your my, but with mine the light above the rear view mirror, the top and bottom hatch light are all the same..

I also had the pleasant surprise of roger being less expensive

talk about the best of both worlds....

Steven,

Mine are all the same on the '85 also...they are just like the S4's and GTS's. Did you get the factory original style or did you go w/ the VW/Audi thing?

brian,
that is exactly my point... if is is on backorder, or will take a while ot get out, fine... just let me know something.

james.
roger said he had a few in stock, i am assuming it is the porsche part, he did not say anything about it being a vw part.

Cool. Thanks Steven...I called and left him a message as I needed a few other things too. I know a few folks have done a conversion to a much nicer design VW/Audi part that is pretty close to plug and play...if not actually plug and play.

All that you guys said about Roger is so true.
He is realy professional and always treat his customers right.
Others do too, but not all.

Thank you to our good parts suppliers for taking good care of us, 928 enthusiasts.
Without you, I would not be able to own such a great car.

Many thanks. Sincerely.

Thanks guys - we are not perfect but we try.

The stock light is hard to get at the moment - but I had a couple in stock. They are Hella and these last two were $36 each. The price is about to increase to circa $50 so the VW alternative is looking better and better.

The alternative is the VW light which is great if the vinyl/leather is shrunk around the aperture.
The light is not cheap at $50 and unless you can do it yourself some way needs the connector and pigtail.
We sell them of course – black, grey and brown.

Thanks for the update Rog...I'll take one of your factory original headliner lights then. And those white clips for the door panels that I mentioned in my voice mail to you. Thanks buddy!

Roger, while we're here, if I can ask, is it good for the 4 shocks I need?

Roger is the best. Helped me with my remote lock install on this forum, notice he was a vendor and now he gets all my business. Great to deal with.

Ah...."All that you guys said about Roger is so true.

Some are not that good. You're right! You only need to pick-up the good one!
