Mark,

Looks like you changed your wing, it looks more like a 996 Cup Car wing.

It also looks like a lot of front lip spoiler, guessing from the results it works for you with the balance of the car.

Any aero mods underneath to direct airflow and aid in down force?

Well today was fun but not the results I was hoping for. I qualified 4th and by turn 3 of the first lap I was in the lead. Unfortunately I could not hold it as my front tires we giving up. After a few laps I had lost all the positions I had gained and was struggeling to do a 1:44 when yesteraday I was doing 1:41,1:42. The front tires were plain shot so I came in. It was fun while it lasted and I did have a camera in the car. More later. I need to drive home

Brain I look at it this way. I had 3 awesome races and yes my free tires let me down for the last one but it was a great start and nice to lead even if its just for a short while.

A couple photos from today....Note the "tire supply" used throw aways from other drivers. Some shots of the tow rigs used by many of the drivers. 911 Cup cars were everywhere. The only street 928 I saw there .... I left before the race hall, pass was about to expire

I've been standing in the midst of groupies for the checkbook racers, and the fury they exhibit when the 928 beats their million-dollar baby is very funny...

Not all of his competitors are idiots, but there are certainly enough of them to be amusing.

Way to go Mark!

Good eye. That is a World Challenge cup wing which is bigger than a stock cup wing. The splitter ended up being too much and I cut it back Sunday morning. No other aero mods on the underside.

Hi Mark,

Like I said, I really love this race stuff.

I thought the front spoiler looked a bit smaller in Jim's pictures from the one before, I thought maybe it was just the camera angle.

Awesome job as usual Mark, don't stop just yet.

Best,

Mark said he was running smaller front tires than usual and the front was bottoming out on the banking at 170MPH..........think about that one for a while.

That is just fantastic! Wish I could have been out there to see it first hand, and experienced 160mph plus on the banking!

you cut that splitter back pretty far! was that WCGT wing more or less downforce than the other wing you had? Im thinking it was less, for the higher speed and you cut the splitter to match.

how does the passenger side look now?

that is so great! 1:41s. wooo hoo!

Im going the next Fontana race!!
