A bunch of us went in on a group buy for the maxjax so far I 'am very happy with it, only complaint is the hoses supplied are on the short side, I just added 10' so I can keep the pump on one side of the garage instead of in front or back of the car. If you have a tall garage I would go with a normal 2 post lift so you can standup vs sitting in a chair.
Have one from the group buy, and use it regularly. I'll echo the comment about needing a hose extension. Also bought extra concrete anchors so I can put the columns at different spacing for different projects. I'll confess that I pretty much leave the columns at widest spacing, since it allows easy parking, and work on the car is possible with the doors wide open. Being ablre to unbolt the columns and move them means that I can use the garage bay for other things.
The deal from Costco that started the group-buy discussion is no longer available from them.
I went ahead and bit the bullet for a quick jack. I placed the rubber? Blocks under the frame rail in the front and at the rear trailing arm pivot in the rear. Quickjack doesn’t tell you how to route the hoses well in the instructions. Whatever you do, route the hoses to the outside of the car between the rubber blocks. If you run them out the front of the side frame you’ll pinch the hose. Not cool. Just keep the hoses clear of the side frames, and out between the rocker panel and the top of the frame and you’ll be OK. I had my early 944 up on them for several months and found them to be quite stable and sturdy. They are heavy… but I still like them a lot😀. Thanks
I have the 7000, and it's great. It doesn't get up as high as a scissor lift, but it keeps the center of the car clear and it's reassuringly stable. I've used it many, many times.

I like my QJ too, but use the liftbars more often, because it is faster, gives me better side access, and gets the car almost as high (with the jackstands that I have). Note - read this thread carefully before using your Quickjack - Quick Jack PSA - Rennlist - Porsche Discussion Forums. There can be real danger risk.
^^^Totally agree. If your workspace it height challenged and you can't fit in a full-height lift, this is the way to go. I also love mine
You may need to change out the quick disconnect fittings for better ones that don't leak and extend one of the hydraulic hoses to get the pump unit to the side for convenience but after that you are set.
