Default Max Jax Car Lift a users review and Group buy opportunity for P-cars will close...

We've a group buy opportunity for these that will close tomorrow afternoon if you like to be in you need to PM with your e-mail and phone number now and I'll place you on the list that I'll send to "DanMar" tomorrow.

Payments and (free) shipping arrangements are handle direct between the buyers and seller "DanMar" CC's are accepted. All buyers will receive the DanMar contact information for this group buy from me via e-mail.

The unit comes with 3" lift extensions (6" extensions are optional) additional mollies and bolts are optional in case you need to have different mounting locations for different vehicles.

Happy lifting

I looked at the various post related to this item and seen the demo by Jay Lenno on YouTube. If you have a garage with 8-9 foot ceiling this may be the way to go! The Corvette guys have been looking in to a group buy http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c6-c...-car-lift.html (see post #44 and # 48 ) in this link.

Any 928 guys interested in a group buy? If so send me a PM

Perhaps I look into modifing my Porken lift bars to work with these as extenders (see the attached link for more info)

Wow, a post in C6 generation that is not about floor mats or which wax is best.

I saw these in the Summit Racing Tool Catalog yesterday (was included in
the package I had just received). Seemed like a nice solution for small
garages.

Anyone actually use one of these yet?

They are in the online Costco website, with delivery included. About $1900 plus tax.

you can sit on a roling chair to work under the car.
Well, that would beat the hell out of what I have - nothing but stands. But, it seems like a lot of money for 48 inches of lift - and you probably have to offset it in the bay to avoid the door lift - which means one or both of the two sides needs to stay mobile. I guess I'l wait. Bruce

However with the MaxJax I think the clearance is just fine for mobility and access to the bottom of your car. You can bring bigger tool and have more mobility that if you were working with just jack stands.

It looks like the perfect solution for folks with a standard-height garage ceiling and/or a standard door that rolls up on tracks above one end of the car. 48" Is high enough to get thewhol;e driveline out the bottom of the car on trolleys should that become necessary.

I think if I go this route, I'll put in at least two extra sets of inbeds in the concrete. Roll the stands to where they make the most sense for the job I'm doing and the size of the vehicle. Roll the columns out of the way when not in use.

Hi, all
I have one of those and use it for my GTS. I have a low ceiling garage and the lift is just perfect for that. I can sit and work beneath the car, or move around on a very low profile roller seat that I made myself.
The lift is super stable, easy to use, and makes working on the car a joy. Best investment I did in years, and nothing to compare to my two hydraulic jacks and stands.

regards

Default Theo.. bedankt voor de informatie

Can you tell me the distance you are using between the upright masts?

What is you max space under the car lifted in your low ceiling garage?

Also do yo use any of the lift extenders (3 inch or 6 inch)?

How High will it go if there was no roof restriction.

Do you need to bolt it down to the floor?

You can use the lift extenders dependin on how low the car sit now. Basic lift gets the pads 48" off the floor. Add 3" or 6" with the spacers.

The posts bolt to the floor using wedge anchors. You need to have adequate concrete strength and thickness to install the anchors. You can unbolt the post(s) and roll them out of the way when you don't need to lift the car, so it opens up the area compared to a fixed-location post lift.

To check overhead clearance in your own garage, park your car where you intend the lift to go, and measure four feet straight up from the top surfaces of the car. That's how much clearance you need above. Consider that same measurement with the hood open to verify that you won't hit the hood on the ceiling or lights if you lift with it open.

Everything expensive about a conventional two post lift is related to keeping both sides the same height, what does that on these and how fool proof is it?
