The new Turbo S is an unbelievable car.... I have instructed students with late model Turbos and they do EVERYTHING very, very well. PSM is amazing as it kicks in and "corrects" in a corner as needed, The ABS is light years better than anything ever used on a 928. The only down point is no spare tire...... And the best part is it is NEW , all the rubber bits are NEW , electrical NEW , engine NEW,transmission is NEW and designed to handle the power. And yes it comes with a warranty. Absolutely an AWESOME ride. In my opinion aftermarket blowers and turbos are best suited for people who like to tinker with their cars and really enjoy the process as much or more than the result. Buy the Turbo !

Sure will. The auto's actually handle it better than the 5-speeds (IMO).

The 275's behind a Murf S3 have about as much chance of survival as a donut in Oprah's fridge. The auto on the other hand will be just fine.

Yeah, what Jim said. We're talking about the new 2011 911 Turbo S - just as quick to 60mph as a Veyron, right? If you've got the money, go for it!!!

It may be a Porsche and a 928 but it is 21 years old and the engine harness is cooked and brittle and putting on a blower is not going to make that or any number of other things any better. Will the head gaskets live ?....maybe. Will the old radiator cool the extra power? maybe. Is the trans going to hold up ? maybe. Is it going to start and run and be as reliable as a new car ???? NEVER ! The S-4 which Mr Kuhn bought and turboed had over $10,000 worth of work by Greg Brown not long before he got it. Plus with an aftermarket blower to whom must you take it to get any work done ? Your 500 miles away from home and have a problem. So you rent a U-haul truck and trailer to get it home.....

$160K+ vs $8K+. If you have the money and don't care about depreciation over the next couple of
years then the new turbo S would be great fun. But unfortunately I don't have that luxury, but then
you may...

If you have the cash to buy the turbo, then you can easily keep your 928! Have your cake and eat it too!
