VIN is WP0JB0920KS860104

I am thinking this car is a 1989 and not a 1988 like I was told last night while talking with the mechanic. Letter K = 1989?

Is there a way to find out installed options for this car thru the VIN?

Thanks, forgot about that. Yes, digital dash so it's a 1989.

I'm waiting to see if the owner is going to have it repaired or not so I can start negotiating to perhaps ****** it up 'maybe'.

I did not get a chance to purchase this one. Snatched up right before my eyes, darn it. I was second in line I think.

I wholeheartedly agree. 6 months ago I wouldn't understand but 6 months of Saturday's working on my 1981 project and I don't need another one at this time.

That shop looks familiar where those pics were taken. Is that off Fairmount Ave near Home Depot?

10 years later, this very car is back in play! It's not $1500 anymore.

Arrived here after a VIN search

It's in Big Bear Lake, CA
From the Facebook Marketplace:

"1989 Porsche 928 S4 coupe Black on dove grey leather Was planning to rebuild this car but priorities changed. Engine starts but does not run well. no oil leaks, fresh plugs and oil, old gas sat for some time Owes $788 back registration if you wish to register in CA. If out of state shouldn’t be an issue. Trans does not work well. Clean open CA. title Carfax report will be provided with purchase. 1 key, owners manual included No rust straight bodywork. First $8000 takes it, no holds first come first served. No trades, no financing. If the ad is up it’s available."

That could be a reasonable price, depending on the paint, the interior, the engine problems, and the transmission issues.
It could also be a candidate to go to 928 International for $500, depending on the above.
