Default Headlight indacator lamp dead

The headlamp indicator lamp will not light, I replaced the switch with a good one still dead. Any way to chase this issue?

are you talking about the light inside the switch itself?

Yes the light in the switch!
All other lamps glow in all the other switches just the headlamp switch is dead.

Did you put the old bulb in the new switch?
If so, the bulb probably needs to be switched out.

It's not a bulb issue I can power it directly from the switch!

Well sounds like you've got it narrowed down!

Most 928 electrical problems have us chasing througout the car.

BTW, please tell if / how you fixed the 85 Euro "skip".

Well the skip is gone for "now", the reason I have not posted is that it went away when I added a ground wire to the drivers coil. Then it returned 2-days later so I took Porkens advise and set the idle @ 700 and it is now OK.
But like I said I need to drive it a few few more times and make sure that is what is causing it.
From what I heard from Shawn; is that the computer will adjust the timing if a load is placed on the motor to compensate for a low idle. From both parties I can assume that watching my timing change from 10-Degrees to 13-Degrees back and forth this maybe it. I'll keep you posted but not ready to raise the flag just yet.

Yes I can hit it with 12V on the two small connectors and it lights. It does show one wire to ground so I am assuming the other wire to power is open but it's hard to test and my diagram is very washed out to find out what is powering it. I hate to take the dash out until I know what I am looking for.

I got it; the diagram I had showed a different path way and no fuse the correct one showed F-6 as a fused input. I forgot that when the key is on the lamp shows on so all is well for now!
