anybody admit to leaving breaker bar on crank bolt then cranking engine?

almost kill myselve. it was not on the porsche,,,
put car high on woodenbloks,
removed torqtube,
trying to remove a large bolt in the differential.
no handbrake,
started wrenching on the bolt and,,,,
car runs off the blocks dropped with the diferentialhouse on the jack who was riding along backwards with the car .
i just discoverd how little fors was needed to the pinionshaft to drive the car by hand.
almost crusched like an inseckt . the jack who was still high accidently picked up the dif house and saved me. it should be goldplated and diserves a place in the livingroom.
that day i stopped wrenching on my car for a while
a friend of mine filled gastank with gasoline,,but it was a diesel,,,white smoke everywhere,,

What "not Porsche" was that that had a torque tube? Corvette?

Yes. BMW 750. Don't recall what it was I was doing but I had been cranking the motor over by hand with socket and breaker bar. Had finished everything and had lowered the hood. Cranked it over and then remembered leaving it. Came off quickely after swinging around and putting a large dent in the hood. I left the dent for a while as a reminder not to always be in such a hurry.
