There are other issues with the car as well... I was seriously considering it but am likely going to take a pass unless the price is reduced. Aside from the above mentioned dings and phone, there is also some damage on the roof - an odd depression, sort of like some heavy object was placed on it.

The AC also seems to have a leak (and is not converted to R134), differential has a leak, water pump not changed (timing belt should be OK) and the Torque Tube has not been checked or replaced. That's what is known prior to a PPI.

Overall a nice car IMO, especially if you like the color combo, but not in condition to justify a Willhoit price.

^^^ I didn't notice the roof depression in the roof but if you looked at it closely I trust it is there. Does the sunroof operator correctly? It was open today...

If you're looking for a GTS, in the next couple months I will be listing a 94 GTS for a friend of mine. It's one owner, 29k miles, AT, Amazon Green Metallic with Classic Grey and all service up to date. No accidents and no paint work. Priced somewhere in the mid $40k's...... it's definitely much nicer than this one.

^^^ Too bad it has the side moldings... Actually, it's good, as I would want it crazy bad otherwise.

^^^ yea but, it's one of only 13 Amazon Green GTSs built for NA and the last one of those 13 built.... Makes it a pretty rare commodity.

I'm very much in the market Chuck, but unfortunately the one purchase criteria I won't compromise on (at least I don't think I will) is that the car has to be clean of rub strips. Never understood why the option to delete them was taken by so few purchasers / dealers.

One more thing about the navy car that didn't impress... the tires are inexpensive no-name rubber. Would definitely need to be replaced. Now I don't mind - even expect to have to - replace worn tires when I buy a car, but I want to see that the PO had invested in some decent rubber that's worn out. In my experience budget tires are often an indication that corners have been cut in other critical areas of upkeep.

I didn't realize there were THAT many amazon green GTSs in NA. The only other one I remember is Rich Andrade's.

I think there was another amazon green 928 in Oregon or Washington State, but in that case I'm not sure, if that's a GT or GTS. All other amazon green ones I know of are GT or S4.

And Schocki's is a Euro GTS that is now back in good cold Germany.

PS: Just checked the registry: Link to 1993 #60 is broken.

WOW...you wouldn't buy ANY of my cars then. Sumitomo, Conti DW's, and Hankook's. What a fool I am for putting cheap rubber on my fine German autos! I should instead have wasted $350/corner to put on P-Zero's or Michelin's. What the hell was I thinking... Thank god I don't want to sell any of my CONCOURS LEVEL cars!

If it is a true 1994 model there is no need to convert to R134 - it came from the factory with R134 as standard equipment.

James, certainly did not mean to insult your choice of tire and, had the tires on this car been any of the above, would never have taken note of the issue. I use and have used Contis on many cars over the years, and would not think twice about trying a set of Sumis. I never spend more than $150/wheel for tires and agree the $350 rubber is a waste for most any driver.

But in this case the tires are none of the above, according to the dealer they are a brand called "Daytona" which they are not familiar with either.

I guess i need to post here more often. I have a 93 amazon GTS with cashmere interior and 5 speed in concours condition. One of 2, 5 speeds for late 93 and one of 7 amazon green 5 speeds in total for US.

Ok, I feel better... that is a bit strange. I don't think $150 is to much to spend on a tire for a car...heck anything under $200 I think is pretty good, but "Daytona" on a GTS?! I agree that would catch my eye and make me think twice too!

BTW, the Hankook Ventus V12's is a REALLY NICE tire guys! They are on EURO85 and I am really liking them!

Anthony,

Clearly you need to post here more, nearly 10,000 posts is not enough! LOL! I too forgot about your Amazon Green GTS...sorry!
