You will be surprised how well a high mileage tired suspension does in the 928..... You sit pretty low in the car so the sensation of dive-squat-roll is much better than taller cars.... Fresh-ish brakes (I have a stack of old pads for S4's) and a working kickdown is nice...but you can always shift yourself..... works for me

The Dunlops I used in Lemons and at the race school work really well.....nice grip for a street tire and last a really long time!!! I plan on using a set of Hoosier R6's that Sean gave me....unless its raining...then I will need the dunlops....otherwise you are welcome to use them!!! I think I still have 6 good ones....

It does make a bit of schedule hassle for you...I'd just leave the trailer at Thunderhill....no sense two long tows in such a short time....I'm sure Coleen would let you store in the yard for cheap....

I am guessing Sean will race in GT2.... So that buts both of us in GT3....which is cool and a bummer at the same time....since your car is faster than mine Hopefully I can give you a challenge!!!! While we watch Sean drive off into the distance!!!! My standard "miata" technique of slowing down a bit too much in a corner to force the Miata to lift, so I can power away won't work with you....damm...

There is a possibility of "Coach" Kibort getting his trans ready by then too!!!! Hmm a 928 sweep of GT1-2-3...now that would be super cool!!!

I talked to him yesterday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He is optimistic the trans swap will be done by then...... Even if his 928 isn't running he could swing by to help tune in the suspension on the Widow....

I think that time is quite possible.....with decent weather.....

Especially on Sunday when we run the bypass!!! I ran 2:06.9 on the bypass!!!

It will be interesting to see how the Hoosiers compare to my old BFG's....

I was BUMMED when I saw that crash......it happened SO quick..... Ken did a great job saving it as best he could....it could have been much worse if he hit the wall more into the front.........

The right rim gave out?? looked more like he had massive wheel spin in a very common spot to have wheel spin, and that ran him HARD into the wall. wow, the car became instantly 1 foot narrower. the broken rim was probably from hitting the wall. if it was the left rim, that could be possible.

That was ugly. real bummer!

Remember my race at laguna. Rylan had a broken rim all the way around the center, he lapped around to beat me, only having to run 1 lap, as I was also broke with a disconnected computer (vibration) that I figured out and took off after he broke and was in the pits. pretty hary driving around with a broken center.

If that was Stefanowitz, its about 650 to 700engine HP and all the RSR bits and pieces PLUS a turbo! very very fast. If you are running 1:44 out there, he might be close to being 10 seconds faster. I thin he has run 1:36s out at Sears.
that opening lap, was on pace for about 1:48 FYI off the rolling high speed start.

Hi Sean!!

got the transmission on the floor. drained its oil. its supposed to have come from a 40Kmile S4. LSD looks great. 14ftlbs exactly! (Brian says that is stock spec) so, im ready to go! I mean, here i go trying to install something that ive never done before! I mean, ive dismantled a few, but never in and out with out a lot of help! (i.e. holbert to donor car transfer at Andersons 928intl shop)

Now, all I need is a torque tube!
