Default The next norcal 928 track weekend!!!!!!

Okay I have been looking at possible dates for the next norcal (+ Canada) 928ers track weekend..... March 4-5-6 (fri-sat-sun) all look very good.... On Friday its Diablo region PCA hosting a DE.....great group and was the very 1st event I ever attended!!!!

Then NCRC has Saturday and Sunday....I can't say enough good about NCRC...my favorite group to run with...lots of track time for the least amount of $$$...whats not to like!!! I have met many friends from running with NCRC!

http://www.ncracing.org/events.php

I am planning on NCRC Sat & Sunday, but will arrive on Friday to get my R comps mounted & tinker with the car...... I will probably run the Open Group & Race in GT3 class.....

So whose is IN?????

Im in..

Just reserved a magic carpet ride up to the Hill Friday, return Sunday.

If anyone wants to head up there from San Jose area at 140mph, no cops..I have room for 3 more.

I -know- I can represent the Estate with authority.

Okay...its looking like me, Rick and Sean will be there... The three musketeers that did the racing school last week will be back on track!!!! I am planning on running in Open class & Racing in GT3...I am guessing that Rick will also be in GT3 (aren't I lucky) and Sean will be in GT2.....

Who else is in......Jeff has a "fast" commute lined up for other bay area folks....

I don't have a 928 (or even a Porsche as of a week ago), but I will definitely be there to check it out.

SURE IS...... I am going to sign up for the race group + open group DE...its $175 and you get almost 3 hours of seat time!!

The race only is just $99 and you get 4 sessions...practice-qual-race-race per day...all the DE groups are 5 sessions.

I plan on racing GT3 with R comps....and also TT in GT3....I would imagine Rick will race with me in GT3 (wonderful, but 2nd place isn't bad) and you would be in GT2....maybe Kibort can make it in GT1....that would be COOL

I'll see if we can get the TransAm up there.

I may also have a stacks of good used Yokohama medium and soft slicks F/S.

Having my dude in Reno go thru the storage locker soon..to clear some space.

4 more full sets of tires for this year are on the way...no mo' room.

What size are your old tires? Since I flat spotted mine I am "looking" for some cheap traction!!! My wheels are all 16".... 16x7's and 16x8's

I think those will fit on the Widow....since it has 18x10 front and 18x12 rear wheels...... Shoot a PM to Sean..he might be interested!

After reviewing my "lack" of a racing budget.....it appears I may not be able to make it for the March 5-6 dates....I can hang out, but it looks like I will have to save up a bit longer before I hit the track again

Well..its almost racing...gentlemans rules, not full bloodsport where yannow..sometimes metal gets bent and you have to accept it.

BUT..its what you wanna do when you'd rather not bend metal anyways.
