He should get some returns on that investment IMHO.
I know a lot of folks are going to have issues with my views on this, but this is what puts food on his table and a roof over his head.

Amen my brother. Intellectual property shows up in so many ways. The Good News is that the results tend to be a symphony with lots of instruments contributing. It's a lot more than watching the symphony and figuring out that you can pick some of the same notes on a banjo.

Subscribing.
Hopefully Greg will share the objective and, in general terms, what's being done. Obviously, the exact nature of HOW it's being done is proprietary.

Knock it off guys....Greg gets lucky, sometimes.
In the past, I've shared pretty much everything that I've ever figured out or done....openly. I've tried to be involved with people's problems and offered advice, in the rare cases where I knew something they did not. Ask Greg Nettles...we've never even met, in person, but his guy is a class act and I'll help him with anything. He does the same, for me. I'm not sure if you should be able to have a good friend that you've never met, but he is certainly one of mine.
In the past couple of years, a certain "hack" (my humble opinion), who can't seem to make a stroker engine even run for more than a few minutes, has made it his mission to copy everything I do and then try and pass it off as his own ideas. He never offers any advice or helps...he just wants to sell.
This pretty much ended showing anything I do. Any pictures or information that gets posted from my shop, I personally edit. I understand that this sucks for the rest of the 928 community, but I have no idea on how else to handle the problem.
Ideas?

As usual, I'm a bit slow to this game.

Had no idea this was on the table, well done. Subscribing to this one. Once again, a work of art.

You folks do not know how much Greg Brown has helped me, unless we have talked about 928's, then you have heard me say that I would not have been able to do what I have done with out his help.
Thanks Greg.
PS, sucks you cant make SITM, Mike McCloud had a car for you to drive, said he would have been honored to have you drive it.
Maybe next year you can make it.
Thanks Greg.

O K ....What is the Oiling problem and what does it cause or what have the failures been? " Simply stated nearly everyone who has tracked a 928 has suffered 2/6 rod bearing failure some multiple times. But do not listen to me I KNOW NOTHING ! So far I only knocked the bearings out of one engine but do see the oil pressure gauge needle wiggle and drop in longer corners with the oid very brown 1980 if I am making a lot of noise in second gear.

I agree with what Greg Nettles says, without Greg Brown taking the time to answer all my questions about my S4 engine rebuilt, I would have not finished it with confidence, I can never repay him for what he did for me.

Given that for the last 20 Years we have struggled with this and discussed it ad naseum. There has been no shortage of "logic" applied to it. The patches, bandaids and theories expounded run the gamut from the type of oil, to dry sumping, with crank drilling, scrappers, windage trays, lowered oil pans thrown in for good measure. Greg being Greg he is fixing it THEN will test it to confirm. Then it is his story to tell....I just did not want this important thread to drop out of sight.

Holy awesome thread batman! What rock have I been sleeping under.
Awesome build and I see now the plot is thickening. Cannot wait to hear what Greg has come up with. I think I have an idea of what it is, but I'm so feeble minded about this stuff that if were to try and explain, it would sound like strangled goose singing opera.![Confused](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/confused.gif)
BTW, love the new catch phase, "How many Kiborts does your car have?"

I took the liberty to edit your statement
"Simply stated everyone who has tracked a 928 has suffered 2/6 rod bearing failure some multiple times. (except Mark Kibort) But do not listen to me I KNOW NOTHING !"
Doc's engines speak for themselves....his engines make power and last a long time..... When I win the lottery I will give him a call

We were talking and drooling about this motor at our 928 beer night tonight. Someone mentioned they thought you were staying with the stock ignition system. Is that true? I would think a COP setup might give better tunability?
