No, this must be the one ThomO mentioned early in the thread with clear coat issues on the hood.

Bizarre that there are two for sale in this color in Denver.

I'm currently arranging shipping.

That is completely bizarre, even the mileage is the same! Interior is the same pristine condition. I'm wondering now if those are clear coat issues on the hood, or just reflections of clouds in the paint and this is the same car.

I'm pretty sure I'm not being scammed, since mine is at a dealer and ThomO's seen it. Mine also has a dealer sticker on the back, which this one doesn't appear to.

Ball joint job is pretty easy. I once had to do it with almost no tools and the wheel on (did not have wheel key with me..duh). Still only took an hour or so. That was after mine failed. There had been some creaking noise before the failure, but don't wait for that.

Same car. The photos are different, but in the same parking lot and the same piece of brown carpet on top of the casette box. Some dealers keep a car up for sale until the check clears.

I received a nice package in the mail and was a little confused.

It came from the Porsche fullfillment center, I did not order anything from there.

Once I looked at the shipper it made sense Mike sent me a nice package (Porsche Ball cap, Keychain, and thermal cup) from Porsche.

It caught me completly off guard and was totally unnessicary I was just hoping to give back to the Rennlist forum for the help I have received.

Thanks again Mike for your generous gift.

Car is home, pics will come just as soon as I get to drive it in the daytime. Beautiful car. My wife said that she didn't expect to like driving it, but now wants to drive it as much as I do.

One quesion: the radio is inop. I don't see a fuse or relay dedicated just to the radio, so I assume its kaput. What's a good 1:1 replacement? Just looking for one with a cd and aux connection, without having to do too much to the console or wiring. I'm not an audiophile by any means, so not looking to upgrade.

Thanks again Thom!

They will all require a little work to put in. I know my neighbor down the street here bought one off Amazon for like $39 and free shipping. It has a USB and a card reader... No CD player but AM/FM radio. I think on the early cars (especially if they don't have an amp with them and only 4 speakers) are pretty easy to wire in. You need an always hot wire (like for the clock!) a switched hot wire, ground and to splice in your 4 speakers... No big deal there. The problem will be if speakers are not working for some reason... We had that problem in the '84 but the real trouble-maker of all things was my S4...
