Car looks ok, but must have seen many long periods of sitting time in the garage to show such low kms in the odo. Particullary, she went trough a service a year ago, checked ok, and then went to sit in the garage for 12 months.
I'm calculating the real cost adding the tune-in cost to the sale cost. So far I thought:
Are there any other things that need to be replaced (for safety)? WYIT? Are there any other things that will be broken in the near future because of sitting so long (injectors/calipers/master...)? Any special check to do? Is the active diff prone to fail?
After 15 years, you should also check the coolant hoses - particularly the one that goes from the back of the engine to the heater valve.
Also make sure all the HVAC functions work properly - the car is at an age where it might have developed vacuum leaks from dried out rubber connectors or cracked diaphragms in the actuators.
Can you say how many (or how few) kms are on the odometer? This would help us determine other potential wear items.
My 94 GTS had regular service including timing belt within 2000 miles so I have not bothered with timing belt yet even though it was 1 year on. I did do an intake refresh of all the rubber goods under the intake though. My mechanic says I should consider putting on a new MAF for better economy and power.
If it's an automatic, the flex plate must be checked for deflection; I would add Ken's (Porken) clamp to the existing. The PSD needs flushed and the filter changed if it hasn't been done.
It was reported the fuel lines are no longer available from Porsche. Roger Tyson has a kit w/instructions that will enable you to replace the lines.
Building on what is said just above by Steve G, flexplate will almost surely be deflected some, but whether or not it is, crankshaft endplay measurement, in fractional millimeters, is very important on automatic GTS.
Make sure engine is genuine GTS and not earlier S4 unit.
Oil pan gasket will probably need to be changed. If not immediatelly then in next few years anyway. While at it, I would also change rod bearings just to be on safe side. After belts, hoses etc normal maintenance there is only piston oil holes left. If engine do not burn too much oil I would leave pistons alone for timebeing. Being '95 MY it should have ...2R rods so no problems there.
