Hi Brian. First off, congrats on the purchase, she's a beauty! Nice to see another 928 in the area, as there certainly aren't very many of them here in the Sooner state.
I'm on my second '90GT, they're great cars. Aside from common 928 issues which I'm sure you're aware of, the '90 model introduced the PSD electronically controlled differential. It uses brake fluid whose flush/refill often gets overlooked and can lead to big $$$ repairs. If possible, you should see when it was last serviced.
You have a fellow Rennlist 928GTS owner near you - "RKD in OKC", and I lived in Edmond for 13 years prior to my job moving me to Tulsa. Also, as others have mentioned previously, the DFW crew is top notch. I make it down there several times a year for service work and the monthly get-together. Weather and work permitting, I'll be heading down for the February event and usually take the Turner Turnpike through OKC.
You mentioned an acquaintance with an '84 Euro 5spd. By chance was it white with black interior? If so, I probably know the owner.
Anyway, congrats again and welcome back to 928 ownership!

That 3 spoke airbag steering wheel is real nice. One of the features I like least about 90+ 928s is the puffy stock airbag steering wheel. You fixed that. And the rest of the car looks pretty sweet. Congrats!

Thanks for the warm welcome! I definitely will be getting plenty of use out of it. She is mechanically sound but I will continue to tinker with it. Did just install a CDR220 in it and it works great. I just need to get the faceplate modified so that I can read it.
The other item that I'm still on the fence about is to change the seats and carpet over to cashmere? I do like the black interior and it is in excellent shape, but man I sure like the looks of the cashmere on a black car. Paul Champagne's seats are hard to resist. If I change out to cashmere, I will have Paul do some donor seats. If I stay black, I will have Paul set me up with the sport upgrade and perhaps the Pascha inserts. Just can't quite make up my mind yet.

Congrats on the car, she looks fantastic.
As mentioned, come on down for one of our DFW gatherings.

Brian, welcome and the car looks GREAT!
Go on over to 928oc.org and join the 928 Owners Club when you can.
Also, working on a CDR220 change out in my '88 S4... it is NOT going well! The unit is GREAT (Thanks Jim C for making it work like it should) but I can't seem to get it to talk to the stock amp and turn that amp on. Everything worked before we took the CD2 out of it...except the CD2 would decide it should have a CD in it and then all that stuff... Not sure what the problem is. We had the DIN connector come apart on us (the one in the back of the head unit) and then couldn't get an end put back on it so we went with some spade connectors (5 just like in the DIN cable, there are actually six wires in the cable but the blue one was never hooked to anything on either end of the cable my system was using)...and nothing...

RKD - Brian referenced the car as being for sale on the Registry. If I'm correct, he bought the one with the VIN ending in 0081. The GT we used to own was number 0082. Thought that was kinda neat...

Jarrod what have you done to your car to pull those kinds of Tq and Hp numbers? Sharktune and X-pipe maybe? Those are GREAT numbers! My GTS's (though they are autos and there seems to be a pretty big disparity between the auto's and the manuals for some reason) did 285rwhp and 306rwtq.
Sorry to go OT...just saw the numbers on your sig line and was curious...

Nice wife, 928 GT, and skills to tinker with it. What more to ask for?
Welcome & congrats from Europe as well, Brian!

The Euro I was trying to get my hands on is silver/blk. I will continue to try and get it but when I told him what they have been going for recently I no longer got any responses. Probably would rather keep it than sell it for less than it is worth to him and I don't blame him one bit!

Sorry to hear you're having problems. My car already had an aftermarket stereo and amp installed when I got it. I pulled the stereo but left the amp. I used harnesses from Becker autosound and it tied in nicely. The DIN connector is still there but not hooked up to anything.
