My pig hit an indicated 170 with ease over the weekend. Closed course and all. And that's with 1 inch taller tires than stock (275/40/17). The car following me lost interest quickly.

I was amazed at how the car was still pulling when I let out of it. I am cheating of course (forced induction). Makes me happier than a rub and tug down Harry Hines Blvd. every time I drive it.

You better stay off Harry Hines Blvd Nothing but trouble there.

As an aside, WTH are the rest of you going to do during the Super Bowl? The powers that be here in the DFW area are convinced that we wil be overrun with 10,000 hookers during that weekend. Does that mean that Vegas will be without? Are all the women gone from Bayonne, N.J.? Where the hell can we put them all? Sounds like a heckuva party. Hacker, are you coming to see your team? I live just slightly farther from the stadium as you do from Lambeau. You got a place to stay. Maybe you can find all these hookers.

I've owned both (928S4 and 997/911S) and loved them both! The 928 was more comfortable on the long drives hands down. They are both fun to drive on the track and have their own unique handling traits.

I think the correct response to the original commentcould easily be a blank look.

If the shoe doesn't fit, keep walking.

Every time I see one of the new VW Bugs on the road I say, 'damn if that car had just finished high school, it could have been a 911'.

My answer to the 911 guys who are rude:

Sir, I have 8 big one out in front, which is better than have 6 pushing in the rear!

Not qualified to judge the Cayman versus the 928 overall but one thing is for sure - the Cayman is one of the most claustrophobic cars ever, but then other than the 928 the Cayenne is my favourite...

"You can't impose common sense objectivity on a 911 snob".

You could also say that those 997TT's are just as much pigs...

NO THIS **** AGAIN.
The 928 was a touring car. It just to happens it has enough performance to be on the track. I have had the pleasure of both.

When I did own both.. If I was going for a 600 mile drive I got in the 928. If I wanted to go fast from light to light and the twisties.. I jumped in the 996.

Both cars have so much to offer for what they were built for.
This is really a pissing match comparing apples to pears.. and of course the 928 being the pear. LOL Just kidding you know what Im saying
