Way to kill a guy's dream.

Seriously, though, thanks for the info. I didn't know that, but seeing how large the collector was on the L2's had me wondering. Would hate to have found that out later.

I'm sure I'll be happy with the Motorsport SLC X and 2.5" cat-back, unless I earn a really nice bonus this year. Then it's 1-800-GregBBRD

Still piggybacking off your brother's work? Shameful... really.

Default headers

Andrew, the headers are a work of art and the fit and finish are just fantastic ,if you ever decided to get rid of them, or if you know of some one else who wants to sell a pair please let me know. If i am to old to use them by then i would hang them on the wall as the art work they are. Have a good one ,Ray

Andrew: Headers look great but sound like a real bear to install. With your pulley upgrades and the headers what hp #'s are you hoping to put down? 500?

It's Mark Kuhn. Brother of John Kuhn. Been banned a couple time here already. Over on Pelican he annouced he's running a special and will screw up the paint on your car for $4k. Normal price is $8k Way too many paint fumes for that boy.

Royal PITA to get on - especially the driver side.

Before all this, I made 443 peak RWHP (same dyno as Murf). My goal is to eek out an additional 32RWHP to bring me up to 475. I think that's doable and then some. For some reason I envision hitting 480.

While it would be really cool to hit 500, I'm not sure if that will be achivable with the little 1.7l blower I've got. As is, I'll be spinning that sucker up to its limit. So I'm concerned that I may be running out of "lung". My previous dyno had me losing power at about 6200 RPM.

We'll see what the spring has in store for me.

When you make the "new" X-Pipe, make sure you add at least 4 O2 bungs.
1. Stock narrow band
2. Your wide band
3. Dyno's wide band
4. Vacuum probe

This can start a new debate about where to put them all. Too close together can be counter productive. Personally I would put one in each header collector for the stock narrow band and vacuum port.

Great job Andrew, i can relate to a past HG replacement on a 951 Porsche. It was tough enough to just get the header nuts loosen and then lifting the head while whacking the firewall with a hammer. No room at all, and my wimpy arms holding the head at a weird angle. I have thought about the headers, but wondered if i would see any gains due to not having any modifications on my car. I figured the only real gains would be on the race track at high RPMs. Just curious.... looks great eitherway

AO, I hope you hit the elusive 500HP number but what are your thoughts about loosing power on a supercharged car when adding headers?

I think this will be the perfect opportunity to put the above argument to rest.

Nice job!

Do you plan to ever modify the anti-sway bar mounts? I have DR bars too and don't want to do it unless necessary. TIA
